Welcome

The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is a nonprofit organization created to manage Tucson International Airport (TIA) and general aviation reliever airport, Ryan Airfield. TAA has initiated the 2012 TIA Master Plan Update, an update to the 2004 TIA Master Plan Update. The 2012 TIA Master Plan Update will provide a framework for future facility and infrastructure development to accommodate forecast airport activity demand through 2030.

TIA Master Plan

On this website, you will find the latest information on the 2012 TIA Master Plan Update, including background information about airport master plans, notices of upcoming public meetings, presentations and handouts utilized during master planning update meetings, and technical reports prepared for the Master Plan Update.

This Master Plan Update is unique in that the analysis will go beyond conventional "airport" planning issues, like airfield and terminal planning. This analysis will also consider regional economic development issues and the role the 8200-acre (mostly undeveloped) TIA campus can play as a driver for sustainable growth in Southern Arizona. The Master Plan Update will look to shed light on and leverage previous and current planning efforts related to conservation, multimodal transportation, growth corridors, business attraction and strategic infrastructure investment.
